Handal Indah Sdn Bhd is thrilled to announce the official opening of the "Bringing Smile to Life with myBAS Johor Bahru" program, designed to encourage more Malaysians to register for the PAS Transit program. This initiative provides eligible beneficiaries with unlimited rides on all myBAS Johor Bahru routes, further promoting accessible and affordable public transportation in the state.
The campaign will feature a registration counter located beside the Christmas Decoration CenterStage of AEON Tebrau City Mall, offering 700 myBASKonsesi cards to eligible individuals. These cards, collectively valued more than RM1,209,600 in bus fares, granting users unlimited travel for one year. The program is renewable annually as long as the myBAS Johor Bahru project remains active.
myBASKonsesi is available for Malaysian citizens who are Children aged 7–17 years, Senior citizens aged 60 and above, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Meanwhile, myBAS50 will also be available For Malaysians aged 18–59, offering unlimited rides for 30 days at only RM50. The usage of this benefits can be accessible using Malaysian IC, myBASKonsesi, or via the LUGO App, an application that allow users to tract the bus information of all myBAS Johor Bahru.
Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Riduan Salleh, Project Manager for myBAS Johor Bahru, emphasized the initiative's significance: “This is event is for the general public to register and benefit from federal-level support which allows unlimited rides on all myBAS Johor Bahru providing families with a cost-effective solution to their transportation needs.”
The AEON Tebrau City Mall management, represented by Mr. Nasrullah Bin Abd Mutalib ,AEON Mall Tebrauy City, Shopping Mall Manager, echoed the sentiment, encouraging families, especially school children, to register during this year-end holiday period. In collaboration with AEON, FANPEKKA, and Star Kids, children booking tickets at their indoor family theme Parks are also entitled to register for a FREE myBASKonsesi to support their transport needs. The registration counter at AEON Tebrau City Mall will operate for 7 days, ensuring ample opportunity for interested individuals to sign up.
Ms. Lim Chern Fang, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, expressed excitement about the partnerships involved in the campaign: “We have also invited Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Johor to work closely with schools to ensure children in covered areas can easily register for the myBASKonsesi card. This will significantly ease transport costs for families, especially those relying on myBAS Johor Bahru routes.”
Assistant Manager for Marketing, Ms. Indrimita, remarked: “Through the Bringing Smile to Life campaign, we aim to empower communities with reliable and affordable transportation while supporting the government’s vision for a sustainable public transit system. We are excited to witness the positive impact this program will bring to beneficiaries.”
A total of 51 Malaysian children, accompanied by two NGOs—Pertubuhan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Nesam and Gabungan NGO Prihatin Johor—were present today. These organizations are also identifying beneficiaries from their networks who may require the bus service to enjoy the benefits of myBASKonsesi. Meanwhile, other organizations have shown their support for this program. Among them is Fanpekka, which encourages Malaysian children who goes in at their premise to register for the myBASKonsesi card. SDS, with its tagline 'I Love SDS,' also supports the initiative, as the program's theme aligns with its advocacy of 'Share, Dine, and Smile.' This event aims to bring joy and smiles to all the beneficiaries of myBAS Johor Bahru.
